This social skills group is designed to teach your child how to effectively use communication skills through various learning opportunties, structured play activities, and hands-on learning approaches. This group is best for little ones who may struggle with effectively expressing their wants and needs, asking for help, or relying on using behavior to communicate.
Parents will have opportunities to learn how to identify, create, and utilize language in order to replace challenging behaviors, while improving functional language, social/emotional skills, and positive behavior. Social skills instruction will include turn taking, following rules of a structured game, identifying emotions, and other natural learning opportunities that come up along the way!
Parents will have opportunities to learn how to facilitate social interactions, integrate social/emotional skills into everyday activities, and implement strategies to support self-regulation skills.
